Hello out there =P
Just thought I'd update my blog since it's been a while. Not sure really what to say so I'll just ramble on about whatever comes to mind....
Artwork, readings and healing has been slow lately since I've been totally distracted by martial arts... Me and my oldest 2 boys started Karate about 2 months ago. They got their yellow tips a couple of weeks ago and I'm ready for my yellow belt. Loving it for sure!! I'm also hoping to start BJJ (Brazilian Jiu Jitsu) on the coming Friday providing I have a babysitter! Really excited and nervous about starting that, it's gonna be hard out lol, but I will enjoy being able to take people down. I swear, no guy will wanna fuck with me again lol, I'll knock him the fuck out ;)
Too many years of abusive guys.... thank the heavens I have a decent one now who actually deserves me ;) Probably the 2nd or 3rd bf I've ever had that hasn't abused me.... finally! I deserve a good guy! And he's so cute... well he doesn't like me calling him cute, so I'll just say he's hot lol =P Yep, I nabbed the hot pizza delivery guy...classic... that's never happened before, but hey, there are always new things and opportunities around the corner presenting themselves throughout life, so I'm open to having as much fun and success in this life as possible =D
Soo, my artwork... I had been totally obsessed with Photoshop CS5 for months and months, having not used a real pencil and paper for at least a good 6 months. I'm currently right in the middle of a portrait of a FB friend, got so far and haven't touched it since... not sure why? I'm thinking I need to experiment more with it, give it some harsher shading and textures, just go for it.... as I noticed my style is quite soft and subtle with painting in Photoshop.... I have been told it's Crisp as well lol....
So, just to get things rolling again with the art, I picked up the pencil and A3 sketch pad and whipped out a few drawings... a few were based on construction that I'd learned many years ago in Freelance Animators, which was annoying me cause I wasn't getting the flow I wanted, my drawings weren't loose enough... and wasn't getting the shape I was after, so I instead decided to grab a few comics like Lady Death and The Witchblade comics for some inspiration and knocked out a quick as sketch that looks pretty good I reckon, but needs more happening in it... though I'm not beating myself up over any of it, just going with the flow.
Except I seem to be finding it difficult to balance artwork, readings and healing with Martial Arts..... not sure why??
I've also been wanting to start photo manipulation again since I used to be quite good at it during my study at a 3D Animation Diploma.... it's so difficult to choose which kind of art style to keep up with as I like many different areas of it...! I'm also keen to start 3D modeling again as I was quite good at that also, though I need the software for a mac, having no longer been using a pc or laptop anymore.
It seems as though I need to plan things out. Plan the martial arts and training, plan out which type of artwork I want to do and crank it out. Easier said than done. I usually just go with the flow of things and see what comes out, though the last week has been so weird.... feelings and emotions all over the place and not knowing what I should do next... it's a bit un nerving really lol! So at this point, this is where I'm at: Not knowing which direction to take, or what to do with myself....
Anyway, it feels better to have written all this crap down lol... really looking forward to Karate tomorrow, Pilates on Tuesday and BJJ on the coming Friday for the first time.....
I'm focused on working my body hard, working my mind and spirit but totally need to find the balance!
Any suggestions will be much appreciated lol =)
Plus, a random question.....: Have you ever watched a trail of ants and disrupted their line to see what they do? Haha
Many blessings <3 xxx And much love <3 xxx

Laughing Buddha and Digital Painting...
So, hello there!
I've been working slowly on my Laughing Buddha and enjoying Photoshop and digital painting more and more. It's been slow since all of my boys and I have been sick for the last 2 weeks. Finally caught up on us! Took a while =P
So here are a few pics of my Laughing Buddha so far....

I tend to get bored half way through and like to try things out, so added a bit of smokey cloud and a space scene. Not sure if it will stay or not? I've also painted up a bamboo bridge but my son said "What's that?" and that he liked the green bamboo/stems better =P
I thought it'd be cool to put the Laughing Buddha on a cloud, thinking of adding a gold disc under his feet too... but you know, it's all in the thoughts at present!
I still have a lot of colour blending to do, and some shading and highlights later on. Getting there though ;) I'd like to remove the black outlines if I can... I'm still trying to better my skills in digital painting, so will just see how I go on this one =)
Feel free to leave me a comment or suggestions, it all helps and gives me motivation lol =D
Ciao!

My first blog on here! New digital art...
So yep, this is my first blog entry =)
I don't really know what to write lol, but I have a new passion for digital art.
I already had a passion for it, but now I'm finally biting the bullet and trying things out.
I've been doing a lot of reading on Photoshop tutorials and looking at work that I want to aspire to. Pretty top notch stuff, and I want to be able to do it!! I have had some experience with Photoshop from pervious art courses, like my Bachelor of Arts and a 3D Animation Diploma, both sadly unfinished, though what I passed, I did well at! Hopefully over the next few years, my skills will be a lot better =D
Anyway, this image below is a digital painting I did in Photoshop CS5 using a Wacom Intuos 3 Drawing Tablet.
He is a friend from Facebook that volunteered to be my experiment, or guinea pig if you will ;)
The full resolution image can be downloaded at Deviant Art: http://magithoth.deviantart.com/#/d2vj7vz
I referenced it from an image in his Facebook gallery:

So, it's actually my first human digital painting! I know it doesn't look *exactly* like him, but he seemed to be happy with it =) It is my first one after all lol!
Here is an image I'd done just before I started on Horus' portrait:

I named it Luscious Pink. It's an image of a rose my mum gave me for my birthday this year in June =).

I used this pic as a reference:
Anyway, I must depart, my baby is demanding my attention lol.
Peace!
